Finally I'm blogging about the Napbas like a century after everybody else!

Unfortunately I was a little overwhelmed during the event and didn't take many pictures.

I lied.

I took many pictures with people who wanted pictures with me, just not with my camera. :p

WHAT? It's the ONE time in 2 years where I am like a star at an event ok?! Want to be a bit happy about it cannot ah?!

So back to me saying I didn't take many pictures... Fortunately I have friends who did take a lot of pics so I can steal from their blogs!! Namely Qiuqiu wtf, who is actually a master at photoshop. She edited me so well that I didn't bother to liquify anything about myself from the pictures she edited, plus on top of good aesthetic sense she edits like 200 pictures within a few hours. Every single person in her pics are edited because she is that nice. -_- Well I can just retire now and let the young people take over. I cannot do this photoshop crap anymore, my neck and arm muscles are killing me. QIU YOU JUST WAIT THIS WILL HAPPEN TO YOU WHEN YOU OLD.

The Singaporean bloggers all took 2 coaches up to KL's Marriott hotel where the event was held and we were all invited to stay. It was quite a fun ride but the coach got lost so by the time we arrived it was time for hair and makeup already!

This pic Qiuqiu took (as you can see from the watermark I put *ahem*) as I was in her hotel room (she was bunking with Sophie) putting on false lashes.

Amazingly enough someone put this picture on tumblr... It has over 10,000 notes! o_O I told Mike he is famous now as a dude in the background.

Btw my hair was done by Number 76style, a hair salon in KL opened by Japanese. My hair styling was done by a Japanese girl named Hikkey. She's awesome!

That's all my real hair btw, no extensions.

My sequinned dress is from Topshop at like $280 or something. The back was really loose for me but my Momo did some magic sewing and made it fit like a glove. Mad love for her!! How the hell she can sew sequins, I'd never find out.

Hate the lashes I chose for the day!

In 2009's Napbas my makeup was really fug and my hairstyle didn't suit me, because I experimented with new things, namely that pouffy hair and solotica contacts which I wore for the first time.

This year I swore to stick to makeup and hair that I already know works, so I chose a pair of lashes that I tried on at home and liked.

They were droopy as hell on the awards day. ANGRY! Oh well.

Qiu tonging and tonging nonstop while Mike stares out of a window. He stared for a long time. It's a little creepy but I suppose it's better than if he joins in our makeup session or keeps staring at the room full of gorgeous girls (I AM TALKING ABOUT THE REST OF THEM! Not really, me included. LOL).

Before we could even settle in, the first award for Best Photography Blog was being given out.

I had a shock because it was sooooooooooooo GRAND.

There was intense music and spotlights and best of all, there were five panels forming the backdrop of the stage which could display different pictures!

As the nominations were read out, the panels showed the pictures of the bloggers and a deep manly voice recited their accolades.

It was all just... MAJESTIC. With an epic soundtrack like the Oscars. And there was a red carpet and all!!

And when the first winner was announced, his giant headshot and screenshots of his blog flashed on the panels, larger than life, announcing "WINNER" in big letters.

All I could think of when I saw it was "WOW. THAT WAS AWESOME. I WANT THAT."

Too soon they were announcing for the Best Fashion Blog... I was trembling too coz I was so nervous for Cheesie!!

AND SHE WON!!!

So happy for her!!

Even though Cheesie is not the high-end avant garde fashiony sort like most fashion bloggers are, she is definitely the most hardworking vain person ever and she takes pictures of her clothes like EVERYDAY so she totally deserves this! God know she influenced a lot of the styles I like now, like Liz Lisa etc and taught everyone all sorts of Cheat One tricks like how to tie a hair bow in 1 min. :D ♥

Too soon it was the announcement of the Best Lifestyle Blog, which I was nominated for. I was nerve wrecked even though everyone around me was so confident I would win. In my heart I thought - this is the easy one. If I don't win this there is no way in hell I'd win Influential.

The announcer was talking. I was rehearsing a speech inside for when I go up the stage. Then TA DAH!!

The winner is Jenni Epperson, from Philippines.

I sat in stunned silence.

My face was on one of the 5 panels as a finalist and it got ERASED to form the words "WINNER" next to Jenni's face and screenshots of her blog.

But that was not what I saw when I looked at the stage. What I saw was this:

And then all around the table my friends were giving me pitying "Aw, are you ok?" looks. It was so embarrassing.

I just faked a smile and soldiered on. Ok I'm kidding. I don't think I bothered to fake a smile, I just was emo and grumpy after that, spending my night thinking unsavoury thoughts about Jenni and hating her.

What? I'm sorry I've never been that sort of person who can be happy for other people when it's at my expense ok?!

And of course Jenni had to be the nicest person ever (pic taken after the awards, she's in the suit) and I felt so guilty. Actually all of the Filipino bloggers are super friendly and nice!!

So anyway as I was saying, I was being emo after that. Everyone kept telling me that I was bound to win for Influential, which wasn't announced yet.

It just made me sadder. They just didn't get it. One of the finalists, the one from Thailand, had 600,000 facebook fans!! I only had 60,000! If I can't win for Lifestyle where the finalists had a few thousand visitors a day to their site daily, how can I POSSIBLY win for Influential!?

Then Cheesie's mom called her and she said "Ma... I won..." with a voice choked with emotion and it made me wanna cry, partly out of being touched for Cheesie and partly because I thought of my own mom, anxiously waiting at home for the results. She already asked me TWICE if I won, and now I have to tell her I lost both awards.

And then I tweeted that I lost Lifestyle...

I expected gloaters but no, all I got were really sweet blog readers who told me they think I'm the best no matter what, they'd always vote for me, and whether I win or not doesn't matter because to them, I already won.

HOW TO NOT EMO YOU TELL ME?!?!

Before I knew it they were announcing the dreaded Most Influential Blog and I didn't even fucking prepare a speech but the most unimaginable thing happened:

I WON.

I was just... WTF man... Couldn't believe it!!

(Also thanks to Aud whom I can see is sincerely happy for me lol)

And when I came down back to my seat... I thought of how awesome my blog readers are...

People always say I have hordes of sheep supporting me, but they are not, each of them are warm-blooded individuals with minds of their own... who believed in me and thought I deserved to win. They all made an effort for me; took time out of their day for me. And I'm so horrible (see unsavoury thoughts towards Jenni), I totally don't deserve this trophy at all...

And there my friends were, congratulating me, hugging me, being happy for me. My husband was beaming at me with pride. My life is so fucking smashing awesome and yet I was whining over losing a trophy and didn't see it.

Next thing I knew I was full out sobbing.

Which made Cheesie and Qiuqiu cry as well lol

Now Cheesie can be happy about her award without considering my feelings! LOL

And before I even had the chance to compose myself, I heard the other co-founder of Nuffnang, Tim, on stage talking about Region's Best Blog and how carefully Nuffnang selected the winner based on points and votes.

I honestly wasn't even paying attention to him because for some reason I thought someone at Nuffnang told me that this award cannot be given to the same person twice and so I thought I was ineligible to win!

Just like everyone else in the ballroom I was excited to see who the winner would be this year.

AND WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS..............?

IT IS ME.

Here I am, giving my speech on stage while actually crying. I think I gave quite a nice speech but alas nobody recorded it -_-

As you can tell Tim was very bemused by the tears and kept asking me why I was crying. I can't even explain!! I was just so overwhelmed with overlapping emotions!!

Happiness, gratitude, surprise, anxiety, guilt from feeling unworthy etc. It's too much!!

I'm the Region's Best Blog among Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, China, Hongkong and Australia! HOW?!

Double winner!!

Surprisingly enough after I won the awards (and an Olympus camera PLUS and iPhone 4S from Celcom!!) I remembered that out of the jumble of thoughts I had, the one that kept hitting me was being worried everyone's gonna fucking hate me like mad because I won 3 awards in 2009 and swept away another 2 in 2011.

This came true shortly with the Aussie parenting bloggers. But as people all told me... Fuck them! I'm the one with the awards. ;)

A HUGE HUGE THANK YOU to Nuffnang for making my life so smashing.

I know I've said this so many times but where would we bloggers without you guys? I'd possibly be doing some admin job or would be in a miserable studio somewhere photoshopping people's wedding pictures for them.

And yet here I am, earning a living doing exactly what I love to do.

Thank you for bringing respect to bloggers, thank you for building the community where I made so many awesome friends, thank you for the last 4 years of love and care, and lastly, thank you for giving us bloggers NAPBAS, one special night just for us to feel important and special. ♥

And of course, loads and loads of hugs and kisses for every one of you who voted for me.

A cavernous vagina

I've always liked Tina Fey and when I knew she wrote a book called Bossypants I immediately wanted to buy it, only to go to Borders (I actually made the effort to walk there from Ion) to find it bankrupt and non-existent. To add insult to injury there is a very sad-looking and by far the most derelict John Little I've ever seen in its place. Are you kidding me? At least put a F21 there or something to compensate me for my long, yes I'm spoiled, and unfruitful walk.

(To be fair to this John Little I later realised that it sells really cheap items which explains its lack of looks, which is fine by my books. Which I didn't have because Borders is bankrupt. Ba dum tss! Punny!)

I contemplated turning around to Kino to buy it but was too lazy and asked Mike to download it for me instead. But after downloading it I didn't bother to put it into my phone and thus didn't bother reading it.

Ok I'm getting to my point. I saw it at the airport two days ago and bought it for USD$15.99, which is a great price to pay for something that entertained me throughout my 18 hour plane ride when I was not sleeping.

Tina Fey is awesome! And I love reading new books because it always inspires me to write long rambling blog posts which are awesome to read later on in life when I forgot the jokes I made.

(To the people who are asking me to email them the ebook that Mike downloaded for me I say BUZZ OFF AND BREAK YOUR OWN LAW I ALREADY DELETED IT SO THERE IS NO EVIDENCE ALSO I BOUGHT THE REAL THING SO IT DOESN'T COUNT.)

The funniest paragraph that is in the book is this:

(Tina Fey recounting how the boys she likes never likes her back, in which this particular one is always asking her out for late night dates but never telling anyone about her. This time round he brought her to climb a mountain called Old Rag.)

He had brought his friend Gretchen up here (Old Rag) for lunch. He really liked her, he confided in me. Liked her so much that he didn't quite know what to do about it. After they have gotten all the way to the top and had the picnic lunch he'd prepared, he offered her a piece of Trident chewing gum, and Gretchen - he had to stop and smile at the adorableness of this - Gretchen had asked him to tear the piece of Trident in half because it was too big for her. "Can you believe that?" he marvelled. A girl so feminine and perfect that half a piece of Trident was the most she could handle.

I tried to process what this meant for my evening.

"So, you and I will not be dry humping, then?"

As I crawled into my bottom bunk I thought of how I climbed Old Rag. I thought about Gretchen, the girl who could only accomodate half a piece of gum.

"I hope you marry her," I imagined saying to HRW (the dude), "and I hope she turns out to have a cavernous vagina."

The last sentence made me laugh out loud like a maniac on the plane because Tina Fey (from now on referred to as Tina as she is clearly my soulmate) had just summed up my love life in a paragraph.

I was telling this to BFF about how I hate these frail vulnerable girls that all the boys are so eager to protect, leaving the funny, sarcastic ones like Tina and I to be friendzoned - which is even worse for the girls than for guys because we provide benefits in hopes we can get out. And not to mention that girls are way more emotional so we start thinking WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME I'm smarter, I'm funny, I like star wars and I don't even think I'm uglier. I'd never find love should I be a lesbian but I do like penises oh dear god WHYYYYY

And just like that all my life I wished that these girls have cavernous vaginas. I didn't use the exact words of course, I usually vary between "dua cheebye", "smelly cheebye" and "hairy orh cheebye" which is way less refined than what Tina wrote but essentially the same thing.

Bff then replied that she thinks I don't like these girls and I don't want to be like them and yet men love them so I hate them.

I told her that's not true because 1) I actually don't give a shit about this girls if they were just being themselves, in fact, what's not to like about a mild tempered sweet girl who is probably really nice? 2) I actually WANT to be like them but I don't know how and simply can't without laughing out loud and then puking. 3) I hate them for the one reason that men like them over me and I don't think these girls deserve it.

To expound a little more about what I mean by "these girls". If you are Chinese or have read my super old blog entries when I was single and bitter (before 2006 when I met Mike) you'd be familar with the words 淑女. I used those words all the time. Boring. not-so-smart women who probably "only wear a bit of concealer" and are just... vanilla.

In my naive youth I didn't realise that their biggest attraction was not anything else but their vulnerability. I should understand, I have raging maternal instincts afterall. People want to protect the weak and those who cannot chew a whole trident.

These girls make me feel like if all men drop dead right now due to a deadly testicular virus and woman are forced to pleasure each other then I'd be the one wearing a strap-on and hunting wild boar and restoring democracy. Which is really not their fault but just, URGH.

Let me make something clear. Afterall, I have female friends who are frail as well. Take Audrey for example, who recently got engaged and her ring size is a ridiculous size ONE, the smallest her ringmaker has ever seen in his whole career. I'm sure she didn't mean any harm or to boast when she blogged about that - it was just trivia to her and she's not a show-off, but suddenly my own finger, a bulging size 3.75, is a fucking fat salami in comparison. Why can't I have dainty fingers? I'm an Amazonian woman!

And when I went with Cheesie and Aud to Hongkong, the girls were talking about shoes and since Audrey and I are about the same height I made the mistake of presuming Aud will have the same shoe size as me (5), which is already considered small. But to my horror BOTH Cheesie and Aud have shoe sizes of THREE. -_-

They have the tiniest baby feet and Cheesie has the skinniest chicken legs I've ever seen in a girl. I know because I made the mistake of standing next to her on the Napbas stage where my calves were twice her size and photographed by numerous cameras, mocking me in photos that keep turning up.

When she does foot reflexology with me I think the masseuse is surely going to break her bones. And to make things worse, when they discussed their weight... SUB FORTY KG.

30+ kg of preciousness and perfect feminine vulnerability. They don't even diet or exercise, God just made them this way for men to go crazy over. I've never felt manlier, so manly I checked for a handlebar moustache. When it wasn't there, I roared my displeasure and put my fist through a wall.

And yet I still love them because despite their apparent attractiveness to the male species, they do not let this, this... vulnerability-thingy become all that defines them.

Aud is Aud because she is funny and always laughing with googly eyes and Cheesie is Cheesie because of her crazy vanity, weak puns and secret bitchiness that she reveals to very few people. They don't flaunt it in front of everyone (especially to men) like some disgusting girls with no females friends do. They are awesome. And as long as they don't ask MY man to bite a trident in half for them, I am ok. (Which they don't)

Ok I swear this rambly entry has a sort-of conclusion. The conclusion is that all my life, sorta like Tina, I thought I'd never find a man who will love me but I did, and so did she.

Amazingly enough Mike managed to get past the hard shelled outside and get to the gooey stuff inside. Close friends who see me with him will tell you they are super disgusted because with him I talk in the most disgusting cutesy voice and whimper when I open a jar, hoping he will notice and do it. Not because I can't, but because it makes me feel LOVED... I've never acted like this in front of other exes, I suppose he must be something special.

There, I could be all vulnerable and cuddly - I just needed the right person to unlock it.

Are you vulgar and too independent for your own good too? Curse all the rest of the girls with cavernous vaginas and may you find the man who makes you the disgusting act-cute person you always hated. :)

And meanwhile, don't do it to all the men you see because the rest of the girls notice and they don't appreciate feeling like an unattractive troll standing next to you.

Same goes for the girls who say statements like "I love doing blowjobs, I always swallow because sperm tastes good" or "I only wear thongs, I just don't get why some girls don't want to feel sexy" or "Dammit my nipples are too big, they always need to be moisturized" in front of everyone, especially other people's boyfriends. The girls will all hate you forever, and you deserve it. I hope you have a cavernous, dua, smelly and hairy orh cheebye and no bridemaids at your shitty wedding because you have no friends.

2012 is awesome so far

In another 2 days' time my holiday in USA will be over and I'd be on a freaking 20 hour plane ride back to Singapore! I've been having fun here and I did so much shopping!!

Just a note: This blog post is entirely about shopping so I'm not sure if the straight men will find anything of value here (not that they usually do but this is less than usual). If you just want to read on to then comment "Geez what a shallow bimbo, I'd never date a girl like that." and proceed to have sex with your hand I also won't object, anything that makes you feel better about yourself I guess. Hey, I'm happy! You should be happy too. :D

So yes! I bought loads of clothes at Abercrombie's outlet mall for teens/kids. Their size 12/14 (or M/L) fits me well (I'm not trying to say I'm skinny, the sizes are really quite big) and all the clothes were either $9.90 or $15.90 with an additional 30% off storewide. I went mad. I bought 4 pairs of floral shorts for my girlfriends lol.

Also spent a shitload at F21 where the sales clothes are, on top of being discounted, also buy one get one free wtf. Unfortunately the sales clothes were not that nice but I still got some good buys. :D

But the cherry on top of my awesome year so far is shopping done not in USA but in JAPAN!!

I went to check out Liz Lisa's website (don't want to link, the items all sold out as it is) and almost died because they had such cute stuff!! Then I remembered that Cheesie and Audrey are in Osaka now so I asked them to buy some stuff for me if they could find them in stores.

But while they were en route there I was super fearful that the things I wanted would be sold out since a lot of them were already sold out on the website. Then I saw a little ad on the Liz Lisa page itself... A company called Tenso.com does shipping for Japanese websites! You buy the products, send them to a Japanese address which is Tenso's warehouse, and after paying Tenso they will forward it to you!

Being a kiasu Singaporean I obviously decided to try to buy the items online instead of troubling Cheesie and Audrey (and running the risk of even the web items being sold out).

After many hours of hair pulling trying to translate all the Japanese words and registering on Tenso and Liz Lisa I finally bought all these:

I already have like a zillion Champoufs (ok, four, not a zillion) at home, bought from Sapporo and from Minimaos.com but who can resist a mini, baby pink one to hang on the phone? Not me! I have two bag straps in white and dusty pink, a giant Champouf plushie, and a small one that is a measuring tape. I'm sure you have seen them in other blog entries/videos.

I mean it sucks that it is a stupid SOFT keyboard but still!!!! *sputters* Ok I know not many people share my love for floral prints but floral electronics are virtually impossible to find!!

Ok this stupid keyboard set me back $120 but I don't buy branded bags or expensive shoes and I don't have a single Chanel anything so I deserve this! I will use it for WORK and to earn me more money!

Suddenly had a fear that the keys are different from the English ones but I see QWERTY right there, I should be fine. RIGHT? RIGHT? This is not gonna make me type gibberish Japanese words is it? No it won't.*deep breath and stop hyperventilating*

So anyway I was happy enough as it is but then Cheesie and Aud tweeted me today and said they also bought me stuff from Liz Lisa!! Not the same items I've already got, I promptly emailed them I already bought the items and anyway the phone cases are all sold out in stores -_- WHAT DID I TELL YOU?

They bought me a fukuburukukubaru. Ok I have no fucking idea how to spell this hold on. "Fukubukuro". It's directly translated as happy bag or something and basically the Japanese put some items (clothes, accessories etc) into a pretty bag and sell the entire bag with its contents for a cheap price! I was so jealous when Cheesie blogged about getting this pink ribbon luggage fukubukuro some time ago and NOW I CAN HAS ONE:

Their Hydrating Milk (moisturizer) is one of my FAVOURITE skincare products. I love how hydrating it really is and it spreads easily and doesn't cause me any pimples like some of the more heavy oil-based moisturizers do. AND AND AND THE BEST THING???????

Please look at the picture. It comes in a squeezable bottle NOT A TUB!! You may think this is a very small thing but I really hate digging moisturizers out from tubs. It's so unhygienic to use your fingers and so troublesome to use a scoop. I love how convenient this is. GOOD JOB ON THE DESIGN!

Hello from Dallas, Texas!

I actually brought the photos taken during Napbas over here to edit so that I can blog something out while I'm on my annual trip to America to visit Mike's family but... I know you are sick of hearing this... My neck and right arm is hurting me more than ever. :(

I did acupotomy (it's like acupuncture but sorta different, google it) with Cheesie in KL because she had the same pains as me and swore it worked for her. The doctor was very confident that she could cure my pains and I expressed my doubts, saying "It has been hurting for a long time now."

She asked how long and I said erm... like 4 months? She scoffed and said she just cured someone who has been in pain for 40 years. On a side note I wonder why anyone who is in pain for 40 years would even be aware that he is in pain. I mean, after such a long time won't you just forget how being NORMAL feels like?

Anyway yes so after the acupotomy the pain in my neck went away but my arm still hurts a little when using the computer. Now the pain in the neck is back again wtf so I'm not gonna aggravate it by photoshopping pictures. When I get back to Singapore I'm gonna do that acupotomy thing again in KL and pray it works :(

So I'm just gonna blog something without posting (much) pictures!

First I'd like to talk a little more about the previous post about the angry Aussie bloggers. I cannot believe how nice I was to that crazy woman. You'd think that after my explanations she'd calm the fuck down but instead she got even more self-righteous and pompous. Talk about a giant stick in the ass!

And then she picked out the two most childish comments that my readers wrote for her and blogged it out, acting like she got bullied, conveniently, oh so conveniently, adding that she was sexually assaulted (by more than one person oh dear lord!), had a miscarriage, is medically unfit and obese blahitty blah blah.

HOW IS THAT RELEVANT? What, so you had tragic experiences means you can act like a fucking cunt?

I had an ex schoolmate who was really unpopular. She then told everyone she had leukemia and was expected to live for only 2 more years and she kept fainting during P.E. lessons. The teachers would scold anyone who is mean to her because they felt so sorry for a teenager with terminal cancer. BITCH IS STILL ALIVE TILL TODAY, 12 YEARS LATER. Well played!

Anyway at first this Melissa was all like OH EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO THEIR OPINION and when she had a tidal wave of hatred she shut off comments and deleted all comments that mentioned me (unless it's negative of course). Whatever. Your words don't mean shit when you keep flipping them around. You know roti prata, Melissa? You flip more than that can?

When Australian's hear "Best" they assume it relates to content. Apparently, it's different in Asia.

Can anyone give me an explanation of her above quote that is NOT deemed to be racist? What? It's Opposite Day in Asia and Best means Worst here? She's so annoying! I hope a wombat attacks her stupid face.

Right.

Also I'd like to say a LOUDDDD thank you to everyone who defended me. I read the comments on her blog (which became exceedingly dry and boring once she stopped talking about me *yawn*) and some are so touching I actually teared wtf. I LOVE YOU ALL!

So back to the main topic of this blog entry.

2 days ago I was randomly surfing through TV channels and saw something titled "Jeff Dunham" so I stopped at that, thinking I'd enjoy watching his comedy show.

As it turns out it is not his show but a documentary of his life.

In case you still don't know who he is, he is a famous ventriloquist and he is very funny!

He got really famous when one of his acts with Achmed the Dead Terrorist got viral on youtube and is STILL one of the top viewed videos ever.

As I was saying, Jeff Dunham's documentary. My interest wandered off so I just left the TV on but later on I heard the host talking about Jeff's childhood. And I was shocked to learn that he started being a ventriloquist at age 8!!

8! Can you imagine that? Being a ventriloquist was all he ever wanted to do (and only 'job' he did) and he knew what he wanted since he was so freaking young.

I guess I somehow always thought he started doing this in his mid twenties and immediately got recognised?

He is now 49 and he used all 41 years of his life to hone his skills till he is now arguably the most famous ventriloquist in the world.

I guess I was so shocked because he is quite a good looking dude and honestly ventriloquy, before Jeff Dunham imho, has always been an uncool thing with a crazy creepiness to it, sorta like clowns I guess, but even scarier!

(Digressing, did anyone else watch the movie Dead Silence? That shit was fucking scary! Done by the creators of Saw, with a good twist but scary.)

So back to Jeff. I just didn't believe that any *normal* person would take ventriloquy up as a hobby. He doesn't seem socially awkward afterall, what would his friends think when they go to his room and see that instead of toy cars and balls it has an array of creepy puppets?

His parents actually bought him his first puppet and ever since then he has been collecting them. His documentary had footage of his collection of vintage puppets, it freaked me out, they were so ugly :X

When he was 12 he started attending the ventriloquy conventions out of state in Kentucky when he is from Dallas, Texas (where I am now, coincidentally!). I mean isn't that some hard work for a 12 year old boy? When I was 12 what was I doing? Wondering if the handsome boy in class liked me back. And there this dude was, competing with the pros after taking a plane. WTF.

Ever since he was a teenager he worked as a ventriloquist but never enjoyed real success from it (although he was earning a living) all the way until 2005.

That's almost 30 years of chasing his dream and never giving up, because he was a man who knew what he wanted! How could he even believe that a ventriloquist could become part of pop culture? It has never been done before; it is so antiquated. The mere idea of this a few years ago was laughable.

I'm so amazed by this story because so many things could have happened and he wouldn't have been the Jeff Dunham he is today.

At age 8 his parents might have never gave him a puppet, deciding on perhaps an air rifle instead.

At age 12 he could have been called a faggot by male classmates and given up.

At age 25 he might have thought "If I'm not famous by now I'd never be, I guess I'm just not good enough" and decided to not aim for fame anymore, just be content with performing for birthday parties. His wife might have thrown his dolls away. I would NOT stay in a house with creepy puppets!

Of course, not everyone who persists in pursuing their dreams will succeed. Besides perseverance and hard work you also need talent (which Jeff had) and luck. But without believing in yourself, all the talent and luck will bring you nowhere.

Well unless you are a supermodel scouted in a mall but I mean talents that cannot be seen unless you perform them ie being an inventor or singer or whatever.

Don't you guys hear stories like this and wonder what your life would be like if you had known what you wanted since a young age and chased all your life after your dream?

Jeff said that ventriloquy is a learned skill, just like juggling, and anyone who has a voice can do it. I wonder if this is true.

I also often wonder how my life would be like today if I didn't start my blog. Or perhaps if I started a few years later when it is more difficult to get noticed. Or if I chose to shut it down when the hate mail became too much.

I mean it's not like I knew it was my calling or anything, I just discovered I liked it and people seemed to think I do it well. And I was very lucky because I discovered it at age 18, which allowed me years to develop my skills.

Not like I'm Jeff Dunham or anything close, but similar to him, that one day in my life, like the day he received his puppet, I started my blog and it changed my entire life.

And what a great life it is!

This 2012, I hope everyone reading this blog will persevere in living their dreams no matter how impossible and tough it may seem, and may you make your mark in the world!

To those of you with no big dreams, may you either find your calling or just be happy and contented with all the small little things in life. :)

HEYA EVERYONE!!

So last weekend was the Biannual Nuffnang Asia Pacific Blog Awards 2011 and if you follow my tweets you'd already know I won for the Most Influential Blog and Region's Best Blog (again :p).

But before I blog about that event, today I received a barrage of intense hate tweets from a bunch of Australian bloggers, some of which (or is it whom?) seem to be genial mummy bloggers wtf and they all seem to be for some reason talking about herpes and kangaroos. -_-

I had no idea what the hell was going on until someone linked me to a blog entry by some Australian blogger who apparently dedicated a hate post towards me.

Normally I wouldn't really give a shit because it's just another typical blog post about someone who doesn't understand that most of my blog entries are not serious and takes every little single detail out of context to dislike me. But judging from the response it appears that most Australians who read her blog and have never read mine are taking her words to heart so here is a blog entry about this.

I'm not gonna link that hate post because I read the "About me" section of that woman and it's the fucking saddest thing I've ever read. And I don't mean like loser sad but like that woman had a super hard life and had depression so please don't leave mean comments for her. She's taking an immense amount of pleasure from the hits her blog entry gave her (like documenting every hour wtf) and spending hours on end searching for "xiaxue" on twitter and replying everyone who replied me. I honestly believe she is psychologically damaged. :X

That aside, I still have to defend myself so here goes:

Firstly, Melissa, thank you for spending so much time reading my blog. It is amazing that you went all the way up to my rambling and boring 2003 entries - that's roughly 1,200 blog entries spanning across 8 years - and managed to find a few that really pissed you off. Did you enjoy reading them? I'm honoured that at the very least I'm not boring.

Let's tackle the thing that pissed you off the most - which is the travesty that I won for the Most Influential Blog (and I presume also Region's Best Blog).

Well, what can I say? My readers nominated me and yes I do wish to win so I asked them to vote for me. They did. My victory came as a complete surprise to me because as I said, there are many other very worthy contestants this year.

But how dare you suggest that somehow Nuffnang chose me to win because of... money? I'm literally sputtering in indignation - what the fuck has money got to do with anything? I don't care about your hatred for me but don't use it as an excuse to attack Nuffnang.

And then you go on and on about how YOU don't do ads for your website. WHO THE FUCK CARES? Bitch please, you don't do ads because your ads earns you peanuts. If you could get money for your children's college education, you would turn it down? *ROLLS EYES* Are we supposed to respect you more as a blogger for that? Ridiculous.

Next you say this:

You'd be forgiven for thinking that someone who writes things like this and looks like this is a 15 year old girl, and I ought to really be more supportive of her 'efforts.

Except that this is a 28 year old married woman. Who confessed when she met her husband (IRL, they met online) for the first time, she was terrified he would have pimples. That she wouldn't be able to date someone ugly because her blog readers would turn on her.

Ok, so you are saying it's ok for 15 year olds to write crap, is that right? Well, I noticed that in the two choice blog entries you decided to quote me on, they were written in 2003. TWO THOUSAND FUCKING THREE. That's 8 years ago.

So what's this about a 28 year old married woman crap? And are you blind or just have some sort of understanding disability? You actually quoted me on your blog post and yet you can still miscontrue what I wrote?

And I NEVER said I will encourage my daughter to do nose surgery. I said I would ALLOW it if she had my old nose. Fucking idiots are always misquoting me!! Super pissed off.

Next up is the little chunk I wrote about Australia. Thanks a lot for taking it out of context. As I said, I was a stupid hormonal teenager when I wrote that. Thank you for digging up stuff I wrote almost a decade ago to justify how I should not be the winner in 2011! It is very reasonable.

I wrote that entry because the guy I liked liked a girl who is studying in Australia. It was all just a joke to persuade him to give up that girl and since I knew nothing else about that girl I had to attack on the "studying in Australia" angle. OMG I cannot believe I have to explain that that childish paragraph was a JOKE! Blah blah herpes etc it's a freaking JOKE, OK! I'm sorry if any Australians are offended - keep in mind I was a stupid teenager when I wrote that.

The ironic thing is that during the Nuffnang Awards I was actually spending the trip with Jessica and her boyfriend Sam who is Australian wtf. I have met loads of Australian friends and I like them.

Of the Aussie bloggers I especially love Chaigyaru and Superkawaiimama, both of whom are always really sweet and nice to me on twitter. I cannot believe that just during the awards I told Chaigyaru that the Aussie blogger community seems so awesome coz they are so supportive of each other and seem to genuinely love blogging - then this happens. -_-

So yes get this Australians - I LIKE YOUR COUNTRY!

But for the rest of you just irrationally pissed off that I won... All I have to say is...

Sorry I'm trying to be like real gracious and stuff but man that was so hard to resist.

p/s: Flying off to USA in two days with freaking two adverts to finish and I have to deal with this crap.

14/12/2011 - Mood: Confused

Dear diary,

Today was an eventful day. In the morning my human rushed into the room yelling "Oh my god I'm late for my hair dyeing dammit." and applied some sort of black ink to her eyes real quick. She then noticed me and I stood up. We have come to an understanding that when I stand, it means she ought to give me a treat. I am particularly partial to the apple ones. Delicious. However, she simply said "Awww... You cute, Igloolooloo" in a baby voice and went about trying to find what she called "panties" in her pile of fabrics on the bed.

Why are humans so furless? It could have kept them warm and covered their shame. My fur is luscious and fuzzy - and mind you I lick it clean all the time - but I guess sometimes it makes me too warm and I wish I could get naked like my human does. Little did I know that later in the day... Sigh.

Anyway so my human left me alone again. Later when she came back home she was not alone but with another human whom she called Momo, and my human is like her human. Momo was extremely excitable when she saw me. She waved 3 pieces of cloth in from of me and asked me if I knew what she got for me.

I could smell that the cloths are neither delicious nor bunny-related in any way so I couldn't be bothered. I'd like that apple treat that was promised earlier!

Momo then picked me up and did some magic with the pieces of cloth. She said she found them in Chatuchuk at a bunny shop for $1 per piece. I'm a little confused here but apparently the two of them got very happy, kept squealing, and took a lot of pictures:

Alright whatever, have your fun, just give me those treats NOW.

YES! APPLE TREATS. You can also see where I scratched my human's thigh right there. That's right, people think us bunnies are real weak but watch out! I could claw your eyes out if I wanted to.

Here I am, lying in my human's arms to sleep. It's pretty awesome, she strokes my head and scratches my ears. When she's done I groom her in exchange - I'm fair like that.

Only thing I don't like? She keeps yakking nonstop to Momo who was sitting next to her apparently "altering her Nuffnang Awards dress". Like hello? Trying to sleep here and my ears are HUGE! I hear everything!

I could hear my human mumbling that she thinks she won't win at this year's Nuffnang Awards because she didn't put in enough effort to bribe for votes. About how she's fat. About how she doesn't really know which bag to match the dress. Yadda yadda...

I woke up when I could hear a third human. She also squealed when she saw me. Apparently my dress is a real hit with them. She is the human of my daddy, Fluffy. My human then explained to me that she is going overseas from tomorrow onwards so I have to stay with Daddy's human all the way till January 10th. My human got really emotional and starting hugging and kissing me and begging me not to forget her.

That's all for this blog entry. I dread to think what all the other bunnies will think of me when they see me in my "dress".

Last week I had a lot of fun coz I attended three Nokia events!!

It is for the launch of the new Nokia Lumia 800 and I can tell that the peeps from Nokia are really excited about this phone because it is the first Nokia Windows phone!

They really went all out! There were 2 roadshows last Saturday and Sunday along Orchard Road, and a big launch last Wednesday. Rozz and Paul Foster were the emcees. From fashion shows to DJ showdowns to, well, me, they really spared no expense to introduce the new Lumia to Singapore!

I even saw the ads for the Lumia on my google adsense at the sidebar wtf. I was damn shocked like HOW DID GOOGLE KNOW?

Three local designers were asked to showcase clothes themed to the Lumia.

The winning team is Feist and Heist! That's the designer, Min, on the right. She's super talented or what? I love how she took the Nokia Lumia "tiles" (I will explain later) and applied it on the accessories. The square rings and bangles are so cool Rozz requested for some from her.

Inside the style cube you can have the first sneak peak at the Nokia Lumia 800, which comes in Black, Pink and Blue!!

What I love are the matching earphones, exactly the same hue as the phone! Now THAT's style.

Also in the Style Cube are tons of accessories, wigs and makeup booths to let people have a makeover!! Can you believe this photo is taken with the Nokia Lumia? Freaking awesome 8mp Carl Zeiss lens!

On the launch day itself a GINORMOUS FOUR STOREY replica of the Nokia Lumia was erected at Clarke Quay...

The structure had "tiles" inside to mimic the phone's cute interface.

The models were rehearsing their walk in front of me and who can resist taking a picture like a lao tiko? LOL nice stems.

The turn out was fantastic on the actual day... So many people watching! Stressed!!

DJ Koflow was spinning and local band Sixx also performed. Koflow actually did a remix of the classic Nokia ringtone and made it awesomer! LOL

Honestly, I must say I was quite skeptical when I got the phone but after using it I'm impressed!!

The windows platform is very easy to navigate and use and surprisingly simple and uncluttered.

The speed is amazing and it doesn't lag plus web browsing is a breeze because of the big screen and super fast loading speed.

As you can see the phone's main interface are these "tiles". I LOVE THEM!!

Why? Because the tiles are totally customizable. You can choose your favourite colour out of ELEVEN colours and make your background either black or white, which makes look at your phone a joy. (Obviously I chose pink :D)

Plus you can choose whatever important application you want on the tiles. Do you see the tile with my picture on it and the one with Mike's?

Well that's the best thing about the phone. You can set ANYBODY's personal "tile" there which makes it the best phone to stalk people imho. For example, the moment I open Mike's "tile", I see his latest facebook updates, latest pictures uploaded. I see options to call him, message him, email him, msn him, or even write on his facebook wall. Cool right?

The "people" tile there also lets you see all the latest updates from your friends whether via msn, facebook, twitter etc... You just need to sign in and it's all in ONE PLACE!! It's really social!

And coolest of all the moment you turn on the phone the tiles are always flipping to show off newest information and pictures. It looks so pretty. :)

The awesome 8mp camera means you never have to bring a camera out again.

Many apps like Youtube, Whatsapp, Angry Birds, Twitter etc are all also available for the Windows Platform.

Apparently the phone also has a talking GPS system to help you while you drive! Talk about combining all gadgets into one!

And the most amazing bit about the phone? I randomly found this out that day when I was just messing around with it:

Igloo's Video + My Sims Social house!

Don't know if you guys noticed the change in the "Latest Video" tab up on top there but I have a new Youtube video!

As promised I edited the Igloo video and I must say I really love this one! She's super cute!

The peeps from Clicknetwork also shot a video with Igloo and it's gonna be more informative and detailed than mine. I think it'd be out next week. They also managed to capture shots of Igloo doing happy binkies (that's when bunnies hop and twist in midair to show joyfulness, it's awesome to behold) so I can't wait till it comes out!

I know barely anyone can be bothered about Sims Social (it's a game on facebook!) but I spent quite a lot of time decorating it so I MUST SHOW IT OFF!! :D

I spent my initial 20 sims cash on my character's pink hair and bought some coz there were some quest items I just couldn't get wtf. Had excess so I bought the flowy couch thing. I won the blue gazebo from one of the two free Winter Garden Mystery box lah! So lucky one!! :D

The holidays are coming up!! This is the time of the year when we get invited to loads of parties and everyone is trying to look their best.

Let's start:

Spray some Liese Juicy Shower on those strands! The Juicy shower instantly boosts the moisture level of your hair and smoothens out frizz and makes your hair silky soft so it's easier to style.

It smells really nice too - great for if you want to meet someone new before the year ends!

Comb through your hair to get rid of the kinks

Take out two thick clusters of hair from your hair parting and separate the rest
by putting them behind your shoulders

Now for some Liese Designing Jelly

The Designing Jelly is special because it does not have the sticky wax feeling or stiff gel look!

The texture is watery therefore spreads easily and I was surprised to find that it is really not sticky! Amazing! For this style you don't need a very strong wax/gel either, just as extra security in case you want to dance the night away. :)

Btw all of Liese's styling products are numbered according to their holding power so the bigger the number the stronger the holding power. For this look I chose Designing Jelly in 04 Move and Flow because I want to create a pouf on my hair later.

Apply the Designing Jelly then tie a super high ponytail. Create a loop like this instead of pulling the hair ends out!

Igloo - my new pet bunny!

HELLO~~~!

Sorry for the larger amount of advertorials than usual. It is Xmas time and everyone's favourite advertising period! And as you all know I'd be moving into my new hdb soon enough and I need money for renovation in case I can't get sponsors. :P

Anyway, a lot of you have asked me to blog about Igloo so here it is!!

I also shot a super cute video of Igloo but Cheesie's in Singapore and she's staying over at my place. She's an early sleeper so it's hard to for me edit videos while she's sleeping in my room - I don't think she'd enjoy me cooing over Igloo again and again at 4am - so I haven't finished editing it yet! (And I only edit stuff in the middle of the night, I simply can't do it in the afternoon)

So here are all the photos I managed to take of Igloo so far! Sorry about the quality, all taken with the iPhone. Some I posted on POTM before but I thought it would be nice to have them all together.

Remember Clara, who is the owner of Fluffy, the bunny on my blog banner? I told her the moment Fluffy gets lop babies I want one!! Well his wife gave birth on Oct 13th and Clara waited till the babies were an ok age to get visitors... I was so anxious the whole 3 weeks!

Igloo has 2 other siblings and they are both brown like Fluffy. My friend Rykiel bought one of Fluffy's sisters! Igloo is grey-brown and the most niap one so I chose her. :D

OMG I just love this bunny so so much!!

I didn't want to bring up the sore topic of Pumpkin but yeah as you all know she made me have horrible feelings for the longest time. In fact, I'm completely turned off by dogs now. Don't wanna go on about that but yeah, when I first got Igloo I kept having panic attacks like "OMG WHAT HAVE I DONE WHAT IF I DON'T LIKE HER!!!!111" Like literally I couldn't breathe and all wtf

For the first time I understand why men have commitment phobia! At least with girlfriends you can ditch them but it's so taboo and cruel to ditch a pet. And no ditching means you got to take care of it for years even if you don't like them!

The first 2 days I got her I actually didn't even announce it coz of my anxiety but now I KNOW she is a keeper for sure!

Bunnies are so misunderstood. Everyone thinks they are jittery crap machines who are "useless" smelly pets that remain in their cage all day long, but it's so not true!!

I try to bring her out of her cage at least 2 or 3 times a day and she loooves it! I trained her to stand up at my tongue clicking sound to beg for food and she loves to snuggle on my belly to sleep. She loves ear scratches so she tries to nudge her ears into my fingers too!!

Before I got a bunny I never knew they do something called "binkies" when they are happy... It's when they hop and sprint around and sometimes twist their body in midair. It's very distinctive and Igloo always does it when we bring her out!! And in the last 2 days she's started to lick Mike and I a lot. Either we are very tasty or she likes grooming us! :D

Bunnies do crap a lot but their shit are usually these really hard pellets that are super unoffensive and not smelly at all wtf. When she's on the couch with me I put a towel there for her to pee on (which she really tries hard not to do so she will tolerate for at least 2 hours before she can't take it anymore) and I just pick up her poop pellets with my hands into a little plastic bag.

p/s: Mike came up with the name, says she looks like an igloo.

Is how my face usually looks like after I put makeup on (plus photoshop). Foundation, mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, falsies, eyelid sticker, lipstick and lipgloss. All the works!

I enjoy putting makeup on but the taking off is usually more troublesome. There is always a balance to strike - whatever makeup removal is thorough is probably also time-consuming and harsh on your skin or leaves it feeling oily!

My favourite contacts

People are always asking me what contacts I'm wearing in which photo. Finally I'm gonna do a review of my favourite lens!

It's a difficult question because there are so many facets to a good pair of contacts. Criteria number 1 is obviously how pretty it looks and number 2 is comfort... Then it goes on to price, whether it enlarges your irises, whether it looks natural etc...

Since most Singaporeans buy their contact lens from shops I shall also include some of the shop brands in this list!

I shall also clarify that I hate black lens so none will be reviewed here. I typically like blue or brown lens the most.

1) Geo lens

(many hundreds of lens that are available online, including brands like Dueba or Beaucon etc. These lens are not usually sold in brick and mortar shops.)

Comfort: Varied

Safety: Dubious. There are duplicates from China which are very similar to the Korea/Jap stuff but I've never had infections before so yeah.

Price: Cheap as fuck. Cheap as $11 sometimes! Lens supposedly last for 6 months - 1 year.

Pros: Has the biggest diameter for lens, crazy variety for design

Cons: See safety. Troublesome to buy, got to buy online and they take time to deliver. Annnnd the lens come in the most unergonomic glass bottles imaginable with metal bits that WILL maim you as you try to open them.

There are so many of these Geo lens and some of them are so pretty it's impossible to just choose one! Since I'm lucky enough to be sponsored by Honeycolor.com I have tried many of the most popular designs and these are my favourites:

Dueba Puffy 3 Tone

Blue

Green

Grey

Brown

If I *had* to choose the prettiest lens I've ever worn I guess I'd go with the puffy 3 tones. Everything about its looks is perfect: The colour is very vivid and interesting with a different colour nearer to the pupil. It has a limbal ring which is not too thick or black (I HATE those, it looks so harsh, and most Geo lens have that problem), and it's big but not ginormous.

However, the blue is not my favourite shade - it is a bit too aqua and I prefer a darker blue. The grey however, is just gorgeous and so is the brown and green. Also comes in purple and pink!

Only bad thing? These contacts tend to be a bit dry. I already have very dry eyes so I have to keep pumping eyedrops or my eyes turn red easily from these.

Geo Super Nudy

Blue

Pink

Super nudys are the bomb! Remember gyaru Maiko who interviewed me from NHK? She also wears nudys. Comfort not bad either!

Beaucon Jewels

Love the pink! And surprisingly these are very comfortable

And the EOS Adult series:

Brown and Blue. I love how they give a crystalline look! :D

2) Freshlook

Comfort: Average

Safety: Good. However, I find freshlook lens extremely difficult to remove, especially their dailies! I don't know why but they are so SMOOTH, cannot pinch off easily.

Price: High

Pros: Easily available at every shop.

Cons: Expensive, difficult to remove, diameter not spectacular.

Some time ago Freshlook asked me for an advert so I tried on all their colours. Even though their lens are costly compared to the other store-bought ones I wanted to buy more because some of the colours are so pretty!! I really love their Brilliant Blue, Turquoise and Honey. I actually wore the turquoise on my ROM day.

Brilliant Blue

Turquoise

Honey

Freshlook also has coloured dailies but the colours available are only blue (not the same as Brilliant Blue), hazel, green and grey. And all four are very small in diameter with very dull colours that can hardly be seen. Hopefully they come up with more choices! Their dailies are not as comfortable as Acuvue's.

3) Freshkon

Comfort: Meh

Safety: Good

Price: Average

Pros: Easily available

Cons: Lens are small in diameter and are quite drying

I haven't been wearing Freshkon for a while now although they used to be my absolute favourites before Geo lens came into the picture. The reason is that their diameters are just too small!! I'm old now, I need bigger irises to make me look younger dammit.

My favourite colours were the Baby Aqua and Perky Brown.

Baby Aqua (don't miss those gums!)

They smartened up and came up with a new line of bigger contacts recently though and they are quite nice!

"Dezigner" lens

No pics on me but I liked the blue! It reminded me of the Beaucon Jewel ones.

4) Spectacle Hut

Comfort: Good

Safety: Good

Price: Low if you buy more, buy 2 get 2 free!

Pros: Easily available, one of the cheapest available in shops.

Cons: Errr the owner is like a City Harvest fanatic. That's why disgusting Sun Ho is their ambassador. However, my disagreement with his megachurch is hardly a good reason to boycott his brand, which I quite like.

Spectacle hut actually came up with many different colours for their inhouse lens and some of them are quite pretty!!

Hazel something colour. It's quite unique, almost a yellow colour.

I like their Honey Amber, which is a lot like the Freshlook one.

A lot of you also commented that their Lilac Purple is pretty!

The one flaw about these lens is that their limbal ring is not that defined. I'm very anal about limbal rings! Too light and irises look small, too dark/thick and it looks juvenile!

Spectacle Hut also has dailies, in limited colours. The most obvious colour is "chocolate", which looks almost black. -_- And their dailies aren't even that comfortable or enlarging wtf.

5) Acuvue

Comfort: EXTREME OMG, LIKE WEARING NOTHING

Safety: Good

Price: Darn expensive

Pros: SUPER COMFY WTFBBQ

Cons: Lens come only in horrid "subtle" colours

The only lens I ever buy from Acuvue are their dailies because my eyes are really dry so they get red very easily and seriously, Acuvue dailies are the ONLY brand I can wear all day long with no discomfort.

I have perfect eyesight so why the hell am I still wearing lens if they hurt me? I'm vain, ok? Contacts are the most important part of my makeup!!

The saddest thing is these Acuvue lens are only available in brown and black and their brown is super not obvious:

Doesn't look like I'm wearing anything...

However, these lens DO enlarge the irises even if they provide no nice colour so they are my choice for travelling or long days. I calculated and 1 pair costs like $2 or something... It's very expensive considering you only can wear them once. :(

6) WHAT IS THIS SORCERY?

Comfort: Even better than Acuvue dailies

Safety: Nothing safer

Price: Free!

Pros: See above

Cons: It's troublesome

HAHAHAHA... Simple, just use the lighten (dodge) tool and set the brush size to slightly smaller than the distance of the edge of your iris till your pupil. Leaving a limbal ring, lighten by going in circles till you get this effect! :D

She's so pretty and cute! Her nose is like super perfect please and I don't know how she dyed her hair to be such an awesome ashy tone. Plus the colour is really even and it's really healthy wtf.

She was dressed in comfy flats and a sweater to meet us but after meeting bloggers she was supposed to meet newspaper reporters. I saw her take off the sweater (underneath is some sequinny dress) and change into chio shoes WHY LIKE THAT LOL I ALSO WANT TO SEE HER SLUTTY!!

BFF and Makiyo chatting like old friends wtf... Shuyin's super into Taiwanese stuff so she was probably discussing something nobody else there knew about Makiyo.

BTW this Shuyin really super wu xim she went to my place early and bought Royce chocolates + a bangle to bling for Makiyo as a present... I contributed by doing the blinging. Unfortunately didn't take a picture of it. It's just the word "Makiyo" in blue diamantes with a red shadow. Looks a bit Wonder Woman-ish.

Hello hello!!

The last time my blogskin was changed was on May 26, 2009!!

Normally I don't care for special dates but my blogskin was ready about 1 day ago and since today is 11.11.11 I thought it'd be awesome to launch it at 11.11pm too.

So many ones is very auspicious right? Hopefully I can remain number 1 forever LOL.

Anyway so yes, the new blogskin! How do you like it?

I wanted something more floral and jappy rather than the princessy pink look that was my old blogskin... It's getting a bit too juvenile for my age!

I guess the biggest change is the "latest video" part I added to the top!

There, Lionel from Ripplewerkz, the awesome human being that did my coding, embedded my playlist and did some coding wizardry to make the subscribe button look not as ugly as it normally looks. I'm sure most of you who can't be arsed about html won't know what I'm talking about so I'd skip this. So yes anyway you can view all my videos from there!

After all blogs are becoming more social so I need to keep with the times and tweet/tumblr/youtube etc.

The graphics I approached Nu (or Priscilla as I call her) from http://unnu.us to help me. I told her I wanted something Lis Liza inspired and she delivered! She is really good with all the girly graphics. :D

I got a bit of a chip on my shoulder because last time during the Nuffnang Awards people said I didn't deserve to win the Best Original Blog Design since I didn't design my blogskin myself.

This time round I'd like to stress that I actually did about half of the graphics myself too and had a lot of input in the coding ok!!

I mean look at this!

I thought about doing this ribbon look myself and stuck it on blu-tack then photoshopped it. I love how pretty it looks now! :D

The floral background I actually took from the Liz Lisa website and modified it so that it tiles.

As for the blog banner, special thanks to my BFF Shuyin, Momo and Qiu for making it happen!! And Moomoo Pets for the adorablllllllllle bunnies. :D

Shuyin and Momo accompanied me on the shoot and Qiu sourced the flowers and accompanied me to buy them!!

Clara from Moomoo is super nice and I actually made a trip down to see her bunnies before the shoot... One of her netherland dwarves had about 9 baby bunnies are they are all so stinking cute I almost died!!

And they are all kept in very good/clean conditions with a real garden to make burrows in!!

Since her home is a nice private house with a swing I thought I'd just have the shoot over there... That way the bunnies won't have to leave their home just for the shoot!

It was a rainy day. Thank god the rain stopped pretty fast.

Chin fillers

Sorry for not blogging lately... This time round I have a totally legit reason which is that my arm has been freaking painful lately. I mentioned in the previous entry that I thought it's carpal tunnel because it started getting painful while I was using the mouse but apparently with carpal tunnel you don't get pain above the wrist and it's more numbness than pain, which I haven't experienced (numbness).

So this pain has been in my wrist, forearm, upper arm all the way up to the right side of my neck and it has been bugging me for like 2 weeks now.

I went to see a Chinese Medicine doctor and did acupuncture and a massage and all that happened is that the massage gave me a blue-black on my shoulder and the acupuncture made me bleed on the sheets (from the puncture point not my vagina I don't know why I'm specifying this).

Then I went to actually see an orthopaedic specialist which set me back $128 and he also doesn't know what's going on (he said it could be a pinched nerve on my neck) and said I would have to do a scan which costs $600+ to find out, which I declined to. I'm gonna see if it lasts for the next 2 weeks or something.

So now it still hurts and I presume it's just a very lasting muscle ache??! Are muscle aches supposed to last this long?! If I lose my arm I won't be able to photoshop anymore!!!!!!

Yeah so I've switched to being an awkward left handed mouse user and I didn't wanna use the computer too much especially not to photoshop so that the arm can heal...

But the newest Xiaxue's Guide to Life came out and I thought my chin looks super fantastic in it!

And it's because I did chin fillers at Dr Georgia Lee's!!!

Fillers, in case you didn't know, are, erm... these... gels? Are they gels? Or some sort of liquidy thing that aesthetic doctors inject into your face. They are semi permanent and will go off after a while. How long depends on which filler you choose! They are used to fill wrinkles or fill up whatever part of you needs more volume (except hair LOL).

I've tried fillers on my lips, nose, laugh lines and this time round I thought I'd try them out on my chin!

Most people, when thinking about improving their appearance usually focus on eyes and nose but the chin is actually also super important!! It can change EVERYTHING!!

Anyway here are some before and after pics I took with the iphone. They are 100% not edited or photoshopped!

I never really thought of doing anything to my chin coz I thought my face was long enough as it is but it really made my face look sharper. :D

As usual, a disclaimer before you haters spill vitriol on me. Not encouraging anyone to do plastic surgery. If you are happy with your appearance, I am very happy for you that you choose to focus on the deep and raise above the superficial. But please don't give the rest of us crap for bothering about our looks - there are, afterall, whales to be saved. Focus the anger on whale killers. Or the rich. The new trend is to hate on the 1%.

Perfect teeth!

I've been home these few days but I haven't been blogging coz for the past few days my arm have been painful with what I presume to be carpal tunnel from excessive mouse use? (Thank god I'm not a man or I will be accused of excessive masturbation right now)

I've been trying to avoid using photoshop. :( I have salon-pas on my wrist and lower arm now. I've never had carpal tunnel pains that lasted for more than a day so I'm a little worried!

Nonetheless I thought it was time to show off my perfect smile now because FINALLY, my dental journey is DONE!!

As I mentioned before I've gotten Invisalign and about 1 month back it was finally finished!

Well actually it was finished about say, 4 months back. I started somewhere in October '10 after about 6 months, I was DONE!

I had perfectly straight teeth.

(Please see part 2 of my invisalign journey HERE where I straightened out my bottom row after a remarkable 3 months.)

Now if I were presented with that set of teeth at the beginning of my treatment the past me would have said HELL YEAH THAT'S AWESOME but at the end of my invisalign treatment my dentist asked me if I was 100% happy because Invisalign clients were allowed FREE REFINEMENT!!

That means that if you are not happy with what Invisalign did for you, they can further rectify whatever you need done.

At that point I had tasted glory and I wanted MORE!! Why stop at perfectly straight teeth? I told my dentist I wanted my mouth area to be pushed in even more (it's jutting out kinda like a horse I suppose) so he said ok and Invisalign sent me another 10 aligners!

So those 10 aligners took another 3 months.

My aligners at the beginning of invisalign and after:

And at the end of it I had super gorgeous teeth but for ONE thing:

I have a very gummy smile and very small, short teeth!! When I smile a lot of gum can be seen.

So my dentists from Orchard Scotts Dental said I could do GUM RECONTOURING SURGERY!!

Well it sounds very scary with the word surgery and all but it's actually a very simple procedure!!

My dentist used this amazing laser machine that somehow just burns off excess gum. Dude... It's not even painful. I actually fell asleep. And it took only about 1 hour plus!

Surprisingly enough when I posted on twitter that I did this gum surgery I got a lot of hate for it. o_o

Wow seriously? It's GUM surgery yo. How intolerant can people get? What others do to their bodies, be it plastic surgery, tattoos or excessive makeup, that's THEIR business and none of yours. As long as they not not hurting others, let them be!

I better not go off on a tangent here. Anyway, I am really, really impressed and happy with the gum reduction!! The difference is DRASTIC. The recovery was about 1 day of mildly sore gums. And it's not even that expensive at about $1,000 to $2,000++! If I knew I would have done this LONG ago.

So yes now that my gummy smile is gone, the last step is... Teeth whitening!!

The process itself was not that bad but man, I realllllllllly hated the feeling after the whitening when my teeth got all sensitive! That uncomfortable feeling lasted for 1 day. :(

However, after the whitening my dentists all came into the room to look at the results and they all smiled at me and said my teeth were SUPERRR white and the results were even better than they expected!

The colour match was off the charts for normal teeth and went into veneer white. :D

My F4 Hair dentist even said my teeth were whiter than his now LOL... So it's all worth it!

I'd also like to end this blog entry by saying how much I LOVE my dentists from Orchard Scotts Dental, Dr Ronnie Yap and Dr Jerry Lim!! They are both such nice guys (and cute too wtf) and very patient and professional!!

And they are always smiling so much. Now that I think about it I think it's because they are showing off their awesome teeth. It's a walking ad for them correct or not? LOL

I've looked forward to every dental visit with them and I'm even a bit sad now that it all ended. I introduced Cheesie to them too so she is also getting invisalign with Orchard Scotts Dental! :D

And a few other personal friends are also getting invisalign there! :D

Woooot I'm blogging about my holiday with Cheesie in Hong Kong and Otaru again!! This is my fourth blog post about this so here is...

The last time I left off saying we went to the Otaru Aquarium!!

I was super excited to go because they have dolphins and seals and cutesy animals! Plus, the weather was JUST PERFECT. :D

Cheesie took this for me and made my leg look so long and chio lol

Instead of the saying "The grass is greener on the other side" Singaporeans should say "The sky is bluer on the other side". Someone told me it is true that colder countries (during their fine weather) have skies more intense and vibrant. Perhaps it is the lack of clouds or smog?

Love this photo!! I love the fat starfish, they are so cute, like the stars in carebears. AND I look like I have a glorious tan. :D

WTF I don't know how the hell they managed to even know that seals are capable of doing this before they can even commence with the training. It's just like how did the first person know he is capable of a back flip before trying? Certainly the first 100 tries he would be unsuccessful, right? Why did he persist instead of giving up??

Honestly I was a little distracted watching the show, you know why?

Freaking Japanese babies everywhere and they are CUTE BEYOND WORDS. Like are you even serious?!

You see? A little boy that is polite, quiet, super stylish, and is not sticky or sweaty!!

Ok I didn't touch him but he doesn't look sticky!

And their parents... All so young and stylish and good looking! HOW? Sometimes I really feel like it's so unfair, we (Chinese) are Asian, they are also Asian... Why are they so much better looking and advanced wtf.

Walking down the steep slope to see the penguin show. Cheesie almost died in her wedges (by hers I mean mine, explanation later) and had to hold on to me. *hero

This is the life, lolling on a rock with sunshine bathed over you and fish thrown at you. Hell yeah.

Oh god the penguin show was freaking hilarious!!!!!!!!!!

There were about 30 penguins there and they refused to do 80% of the trainer's commands. I could see that the trainer was itching to give them a kick into the water HAHAHAHHA!!

Then something super OMFG happened:

SOMEONE RECOGNIZED CHEESIE AND I.

A JAPANESE PERSON!!!!!!!!

The gyaru mom above said she saw the episode of me (and Cheesie) on NHK's Kawaii TV and she actually remembered us from the show! And she wanted a picture!

I am made! I am famous in Japan!! This is crazy! When Cheesie said everyone in Japan watches NHK I thought she was just exaggerating but it turns out it is true.

Our awesome cab driver from Park Hotel Otaru then told us he was going to bring us to see SNOW.

I thought he was going to bring us to a mountain top but he just took us a barely 5 mins drive away to the bottom of a slope where lo and behold:

SNOW!

Much dirtier than I anticipated but snow nonetheless in 26 degree weather. He said Otaru is so cold in wintertime and gets so much snow that in summer, it doesn't really get melted away.

I didn't believe him and thought maybe it's salt but I touched it and it IS ice!! Crazy!

Next we drive to the famous Otaru Canal:

Along the canal were these little pushcarts selling touristy trinkets. I stopped when I saw this:

Let's start with the dude. Man, he looks like he walked out of a manga. Like some martial arts shifu!! People all think manga characters look so ridiculous but I feel when you go to Japan they really do exist wtf.

When Cheesie and I walked past him we heard sounds like bullets and jumped out of our skin but it's just this guy firing rubber bands at an aluminum tray!

He actually invented the "guns" themselves and they can fire like up to 15 rubber bands consecutively!! I found it so funny I bought one for Mike to play with. :D

And we also got handmade necklaces. They were not expensive either! Not 1,000 yen, less than that, but I forgot how much.

Next we went to walk around Otaru's town center or something...

After that we saw a shop we HAD to go into.........

It had people roasting live seafood!

He is cooking scallops with all sorts of magical Japanese sauces

and the smell was just wafting up our noses...

200 yen (SGD$3.33, USD $2.60) for a scallop is not expensive either! You can have your choice of all kinds of seafood, including live sea urchins cracked open before your eyes!

It's kind of gross coz they simply dig out the orange bits and you eat it... It's like eating innards raw.

But it's so delicious and creamy. Love it! Ok this bowl of sea urchin is from another dinner of ours but just to illustrate my point.

Even though Cheesie and I were so full we couldn't resist, bought melon too. SO SWEET.

The shop had other customers too and among them were a group of teenage Japanese schoolboys.

I couldn't understand what they were saying but they kept going OISHI OISHI OISHI at everything and making very appreciative noises at their food lol

And guess what?

They asked if they could snap a picture with Cheesie and I!!

I cannot begin to explain how much it is of an ego boost that a bunch of teenage boys found 27 year old me attractive (enough for a photo) lolol. :D :D :D

WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY COULD HAVE JUST LIKED CHEESIE I DON'T CARE I CHOOSE TO BELIEVE THEY ALSO FOUND ME BEAUTIFUL OK

Any way our happiness was very short-lived because shortly after the boys took the picture with us we continued eating and another group of men came into the shop.

This time round they were Taiwanese or China tourists and were a bunch of disgusting older guys all holidaying together.

They mistook Cheesie and I for Japanese locals and asked for pictures, which we truly didn't mind but they fucking put their hands on our shoulders and HUGGED US WTF!!!

We could hear the photographer saying in Chinese "Closer! Put your hand on her waist" and more degrading shit like that. They thought we couldn't understand them. It was so fucking disgusting, like getting molested, but I guess at that moment I just thought I'd tolerate through one picture and that's it - but they kept switching people to take photos with us one by one.

I didn't want to make a scene and Cheesie wasn't objecting (aloud) so by the time I wanted to yell at someone they were done and left and both Cheesie and I felt so violated.

The bunch of teenage boys were staring at the Chinese tourists the entire time looking really incredulous at how rude, rowdy, and classless they were. In contrast the Japanese boys took ONE picture with us, nobody touched us, and they were thanking us profusely afterward. The Chinese men just made sexual remarks, laughed and left. It really puts my race to such shame. :(

After that Cheesie and I had time so we went to talk around in the mall just beside our hotel!!

And they had neoprint machines so of course we had to take some. :D

No these are not neoprints but the lighting inside was so good and there was nobody waiting in line so we camwhored a little!

The machines are crazy!! They automatically make your eyes super ginormous. LOL

LOOK AT CHEESIE'S SHOES!!

This woman is ridiculous I tell you. She brings a grand total of ONE pair of $20+ wedges to a 7 day holiday.

And nothing against budget shoes but anyone who had wedges like these before know that the above ALWAYS happens to wedges like these!!! And you don't want to be caught on holiday with broken shoes lol.

Anyway I kept asking her to buy a new pair but she didn't see anything she liked so she just kept either wearing my shoes or continue wearing hers.

If you look carefully at the bottom shoe she already stuck scorch tape around the entire wedge to stick the sole to the wedge.

I asked her why the hell she had tape in her luggage and she said she was scared this will happen. But why did she still bring this pair of shoes? LOL!! Alas, the mysterious mentality of girls. I think it's because she thought it matches all her clothing.

Fhl, the next day proved too much and the other sole also broke free from the wedge.

But obstinately enough Cheesie continued wearing them, until finally one of the straps also broke so she had no choice but to buy another pair at the mall. HAHAHA!!

Cheesie said "I can't believe you bought Hada Labo in Japan just coz of the Minnie mouse." After a while she said "Actually I would do that too. *LOL*"

I'm stripping off my falsies!

For the past week I've been going out with only mascara for a change.

Pixar for Cars 2!

OMG I'm so backdated with my photos... Anyway photos from my trip to San Francisco again, this time to visit Pixar for the second time for Cars 2!

Stayed at Four Seasons again, along imho the best street in SF - Market Street!

Huge 4 storey Juicy store, ginormous flagship F21 store, H&M, Abercrombie etc all within walking distance. :D

Didn't really feel like snapping a lot of pictures coz I was there alone and seriously, I get enough weird looks without taking out a blinged out camera...

First thing I did was to order food!

The kid's menu is so cute with food related jokes! I'm sorry I forgot the answers to those joke questions wtf.

I ordered Halibut coz the last time I had it it was so freaking delicious, but I think Four Seasons changed their menu/chef and this time round it's only mediocre. :(

Still, truffle fries are always good!

Emergency sign I saw along the corridor... I found it so funny that they had to make an onomatopoeia of the alarm I had to take a picture!! Seriously? Alarms never sound like "whoop whoop whoop", right? LOL woop woop woop is the sound Zoidberg makes!

And I got ready for my Pixar 25th anniversary party!

On the bus there. Seriously, I must have at least a dozen of pictures of myself with someone staring at me with intense hatred at the background while I camwhore. I must appear very unlikeable. :( I blame the blonde hair.

What were you doing on April Fools' Day?

I was trying to spot secret hidden Pixar related emblems embedded in the new HUGE Pixar building.

In case you don't already know, Pixar is expanding their office space and it used to be this one hugeass airy, clean, steel sorta building but they built a new separate building next to it and it has a homey, country, cozy feel with red bricks, wood everywhere and even a fireplace!

The steel one reflects the taste of Steve Jobs (largest shareholder of Pixar) and the country one reflects the taste of John Lasseter, Pixar's Chief Creative Officer!

In case you are wondering why I said I was attending a party and yet am shooting all these Forever Alone pictures, it is because, as you can see in the background, everyone is mingling up there.

And the worst thing is everybody there who is not from Pixar knows Pixar inside out so they can chat with the Pixar staff knowing their job scopes and names but I don't know most of them so I was really afraid it would be insulting them if I chat to them and ask them who they are!!

Plus small talk is soooooo awkward!

So I escaped downstairs to randomly snap pictures.

And yes this is an Acadamy Award!!

I felt so awed when I saw it coz Oscars are so freaking RARE and there were a few right there before my eyes in the Pixar display cabinet.

I had one day off on my 4 day Cars 2 trip so as I mentioned before I flew to LA to meet Michelle Phan!

I bought the "to" ticket for March 31st. Naturally when I tried to buy the "fro" ticket the automatic system brought up the calender for April. Instead of clicking backwards to March 31st, I went to click forward and brought a ticket for May 31st.

Mar 31st and May 31st looks the same ok!

Thank god Delta is freaking awesome and had a flight back for me. I had to top up $100.

I'm warning you guys... This post is gonna make you super hungry!

As you can guess from the title, I'm gonna be blogging about Pepper Lunch today! I've always made it known that I am a HUGE fan of Pepper Lunch so imagine how happy I was when they invited me down to try their new menu! :D

In case you have no idea what Pepper Lunch is about, the concept is really unique. Chef and inventor Kunio Ichinose wanted to serve quality fast food without hiring a chef. He devised a method using hot metal plates that are heated to 260 Celsius by an electromagnetic cooker. Customers then cook their own food using chopsticks to whatever degree of doneness they want! Not only is it delicious, it's also super fun! I get very excited when it comes to cooking the beansprouts and egg especially. :D

You can see me rave about their Beef Sukiyaki here. For a period of time I was like seriously addicted to it and had to eat it like once a week!

After that they came out with a special item called the "Thick Steak" and it was so good I seriously smsed all my beef lover friends to go give it a try. The thick steak was just like the Pepper Steak but super thick, like a tenderloin! At only $15.90 it was just the most value for money good steak I've ever had. Too bad this item is no longer available but the Pepper Steak and Rib Eye Steak are very, very close.

Do I sound like a crazy Pepper Lunch fan or what? LOL

I was so overjoyed when an outlet opened in White Sands, really close to my home. T_T

This time round Pepper Lunch came up with 7 completely new items and improved some of their classics! :D

Drinks first: I had my favourite Iced Mango Peach and Qiu chose Iced Milo (as did Kaykay).

Guess what this is?

Curry Chicken Pepper Rice with Cheese!

Generous pieces of chicken thigh seasoned with flavourful curry powder and rice with corn and generous slices of cheese atop it... All sizzling on a hot plate.

When the cheese is melted it is HEAVEN! Look at the strands of cheesy goodness.

OMG... The rice is sticky and gooey with a really special curry flavouring. Spicy without being overpowering.

Us girls just attacked the plate till nothing was left.

One more awesome thing about Pepper Lunch? You can feel free to do add-ons to your meal!! Not enough corn/bean sprouts/cabbage/beans? Another serving is just 30c!! Adding cheese? 90c. Adding an egg is $0.50. And guess how much this dish cost? $9.90!

The chunks of chicken were really juicy and perfectly cooked too. :D

In the background you can see the Beef Pepper Rice too. Not gonna blog much about it as I think most of you have possibly tried it before.

The Honey Brown Sauce and Garlic Soy Sauce are the essential sidekicks to Pepper Lunch's food! I love a combination of the two and I love DRENCHING my food with the sauces. By drench I really mean pouring the sauces full blast for about 5 seconds each.

The sauces particularly go well with the steaks, and would you look at that steak?

You can hardly believe that such a large well marbled piece of beef can go for just $16.90 - the Rib Eye Steak is super value for money (comes with mashed potato too).

Tip: The brown cream thing is special margarine. Spread it all over your steak! And also... You can thick skinnedly go to the counter and ask for more margarine if you want. LOL

This is my favourite dish of the evening! Qiu doesn't take beef so Kaykay and I finished it all.

Even cooked medium well the beef is extremely tender and melts in your mouth.

Next up is the Salmon Cream Pasta with Mushroom ($11.90).

A lot of people think Pepper Lunch offers just beef or rice which some people do not eat. But they cannot be more wrong as there is a huge selection of pastas and other different meats!

As I have never had Pepper Lunch's pasta before I had no idea how to cook it so a staff kindly helped us:

That's right you can request for tableside cooking too if you don't trust your own cooking skills!

The right way to cook this dish is to toss the pasta, salmon and mushroom till they are cooked, then...

Pour the cream sauce in.

This is actually Qiu's favourite! She loves the cream sauce being not too "jelat" (overpowering) and the abundant mushrooms. LOL

Next up is my favourite (tied with Rib Eye) Wagyu Sukiyaki with Udon:

At $13.90 this dish sure contains a lot of yummy stuff!! On the hot plate are chunks of fine marbled beef that melts in your mouth, cabbage and onion slices, an egg, udon, tofu, mushrooms and beans.

I was told that this dish is "improved" and the sauce is changed. I was really apprehensive because seriously I liked it fine the way it was.

But guess what? It's actually nicer now wtf!! They somehow made the sauce a little less salty and more watery. It used to be just a little too thick and strong so now it's perfect!

I cannot describe how much I love the sauce!! After it's cooked together with the cabbage it just has this sweet flavour to it that goes perfectly with a slice of quality beef. MmmmmMmmmm!

The slippery udon quantity also increased so udon lovers would be pleased.

Kaykay and I devouring it. Sipped every last bit of the broth!

New Item: Saba and Chicken! ($14.90)

I thought it was really adventurous of Pepper Lunch to try serving saba as it is not a very "common" fish. However, it's delicious! The saba is a premium grade imported from Norway. Juicy and goes really well with the garlic soy sauce.

The next item is from the new category of "Sizzling Curry Rice". Pepper lunch added 3 curry rice dishes:

Curry Rice with Seafood, with Beef and Hamburg Steak or with Chicken and Mushroom.

We got served the Curry Rice with Seafood! $12.90

Hello big scallop!! You are welcome in my belly!

A lot of people would think the correct way to cook this is to pour the curry in and mix everything up but technically the correct way is to saute the seafood, then pour the curry around the rice. That way you can gauge how much curry you want with each spoonful of rice!

Traditional Japanese curry is sweet and mild but the new trend is to have curries that are tasty and rich with a spicy kick. Combined with the freshly cooked flavour of the seafood this is really quite yummy!

Bursting with food, us girls were served our ice cream desserts...

Five different flavours!! From left:

Kuromitsu (caramel),

Passion Fruit,

Matcha (green tea),

Choco Nuts,

and Goma (sesame).

The passion fruit is a new addition! It offers a much need variety to the available ice creams because it is the only sour, tangy one while the others are sweet. I liked it!

The Matcha used to be the worst among the ice creams when there were only 3 flavours available (other 2 being goma and kuromitsu). However, it is now improved and I can safely say it is putting up a good fight!! Kaykay's favourite is the matcha! Very refreshing and clean-tasting.

My personal favourite is either the Kuromitsu (also this is Qiu's favourite) or the Goma!!

Whenever I have my Goma I mix it up like this and it is sooooo delicious!! Looks cool too right? :D

Photo editing on the iPhone

I can't believe it. I'm blogging about the iPhone (or rather its apps). I'm a humbled hypocrite. :(

So. I've been taking photos with the iPhone and guess what? I like it. Why?

Because there are literally hundreds or maybe even thousands of photography apps available for you to enhance your photos!

Not only is it fun, you are saved the hassle of transferring them to your computer and you can even do the editing on the toilet bowl, then immediately post them onto twitter/facebook/tumblr etc to get the attention you crave. Oh and I forgot to mention there is a front facing camera so of course the photos look great! It's a fucking winning formula and I'm loving it!

With every *ahem* gorgeous photo I post, people keep asking me the apps I use to edit them, so here they are!

BTW, I am a photography app junkie. I buy and download most popular photography apps just to give them a try. However, I don't like some of the apps because...

1) They force me to open the camera app within their app and snap a photo to edit, instead of allowing me to edit a photo that's already snapped. This is fucking annoying. An example of this is camera360. Great filters, stupid interface. I want to snap 10 pictures, choose the best one, THEN edit. Not snap and immediately edit!

2) They crop my photo into a square, or are unable to edit on a landscape picture. To post on my blog's Photo of the Moment I need the landscape format. An example of this is instagram, which makes photos square.

So yup these apps are all not included in my list even though they may be great!

Here are my favourites!!

(Not including Pixlromatic, which should go under "Meh")

My all time favourite is Mei Tu Xiu Xiu (the red one for those who can't read chinese).

After trying many many filter-based apps, I find that MTXX is the still best for portraits. And it's also very easy to use! I love how you can even add bokeh to the pictures. You can also crop, put two photos into one frame, or blur the background, all within the app.

For heart shaped bokeh, iDarkroom (not pictured), is also awesomesauce.

Now for the important stuff - Liquify! As you all know I am a big fan of Liquify on photoshop - and guess what? You can do it on the iPhone too!!

My favourite is the one called "Makeover"

Of course, liquify on the iPhone cannot be as precise as on the computer, but I take whatever I can get and Makeover is pretty darn good.

First, as shown, you select where your eye and mouth corners are... Then...

TADAH! Photo on the left unedited.

You can edit your eyes, nose, mouth, mouth corners and face shape, all with Makeover!!

I love this app because you can edit so much based on how your move your fingers. For example, two fingers pinching makes the nose slimmer. Moving one finger moves your nose, be it left, right, up or down.

You can even rotate your eyes more droopy (which I like) or more slanted! Crazy, right?

Face Melter is just like Makeover, except this is purely pushing pixels around. I don't really like Face Melter because it is clumsy and when something is liquified beyond the frame, it adds extra black pixels to the photo. -_- Which is stupid.

Face Cam is another app just like Makeover:

It allows you to enhance photos by smoothening and lightening skin, which is great! You can also make your eyes bigger and face sharper with it, but Makeover is better for those purposes.

Princess Cam is my favourite purikura app!

You can add cute graphics, borders, sparkles etc, but my favourite is the "teak and ribbon" section!

Eyelashes, BOTTOM LASHES (IKR?), blush (I love this!), contacts... Too cute!

Not to mention bunny ears and ribbons... :D

And here's my verdict after use:

I've only tried one other brand of foaming facial wash before and I hated it. After rubbing on the foam for a bit, instead of dissolving into a water-like substance the foam became a thick, creamy... eh... cream! It spreads very well and feels super nice when you are doing a gentle rubbing motion! Go and try!

Sorry for the lack of blog entries lately. I'm ashamed to say I've been busy playing Sims Social on facebook wtf. -_-

Anyway so for those of you who don't know yet... I've dyed my hair pink!! ♡

Guess I was just bored of being blonde for so long, and if you already have blonde hair you might as well dye it a crazy colour because bleaching is a prerequisite for crazy colours anyway! At least once in a lifetime, right?

For the longest time I was just procrastinating because I loved my blonde locks so much. But Mike has a thing for girls with pink hair and I saw even Katy Perry dyed her hair pink (it's more of a violet now) and I just thought I'd do it too!

Today's post will be full of pictures!! :D

And I love the topic because it is about Japanese fashion, which I ADORE!! ♥♥

In recent years I've found my fashion calling and Japanese trends have affected the way I dress and style... My favourite of all the Japanese brands is Liz Lisa of course...

The Japanese are crazy about their styles. If you ever go to Tokyo you'd understand how much time and effort they put into dolling themselves up. From immaculate hair to nails to shoes to headgear... They all look effortlessly stylish! Not an inch of sloppiness.

And one of these fashion forward places in Tokyo is the famous Harajuku!

Ok fine the people in this photo are not that stylish but it was 40 degrees out and still the Japanese do their layering thing! Madness.

Not to lose out, Cheesie and I also did our best to blend in:

And I get to play dress up! Qiuqiu, Cheesie, Typical ben and I were invited to pick from a range of clothes those we like for a photoshoot! Cheesie came over to my place for the photo-taking so here are my pictures (some with her).

Patronising update

Yes yes I know I haven't blogged in a zillion years. Been busy these few days filming a mini web series and now I've fallen sick. *cough cough*

I think it's just the usual flu. Hopefully I'd get better in a few days. :(

Anyway I'm also working really hard on my new blogskin!! I know right, so sick of this old one!!

Couple of days ago the best BFF in the world (Shuyin that is) and the best mom in the world (my mom, in case that also needed clarification) went with me to get the banner header pictures taken.

A lot of work went into it and I must say I super love the results!! The pictures turn out SO GORGEOUS!

Yes that's a real bunny!

I wanted a romantic dreamy Liz Lisa floral vibe and it's perfect!

The photographer is actually Shuyin and people kept being so surprised about it coz she is not a pro photographer or anything and she took quite good pictures just using the Auto mode. Aperture, ISO and shutter speed - you all can go suck on Shuyin's ass. HAHAHA

I'd be blogging more about the shoot whenever the blogskin comes up. And you just have to wait a bit to see the rest of the awesome pictures!!

This is the restaurant we ate at!! It's a little cozy place with seats for a maximum of maybe 6 people.

Guess what we are having?

Plastered all over the limited wall space are well wishes and praises from customers all over the globe. Here's one from Singaporeans.

I burst out laughing like mad when I saw this, not because I am read Korean but because the person drew a caricature of the chef/owner and it is UNCANNY.

LOOK!! HAHAHHAHA!!!!!!!!!

I love this guy he is soooooo funny and affable! He is super filled with pride at his own food and whenever curious people meander into the restaurant he keeps telling them his food is the best in the world and it is not self praise but said by all the customers, as evidenced by the cards on the walls.

Cheesie said he said to everyone that his food "吃了会佷感动". LOL

When I asked him for a picture he made his cartoon face at me.

My food - all sorts of crabs because I don't eat raw food, which is his specialty!

BTW! For the first time in my life I decided to be brave and give raw food another chance so I tried sea urchin!!

OMG I actually liked it!! Maybe it's coz it's so fresh but it didn't have the raw taste at all, just a creamy favour. And thus I also tried scallops raw - and also liked it! Scrimp too but that one I found meh. Proud of myself!

I kept it very simple and clean (for my standards) because it is summer now! Summer is the time for comfy linens and bronzy, glowy skin!

On my hand from left: The liquid foundation, concealer in 2 shades, and translucent pressed powder.

The liquid foundation is light and makes my skin dewy. It contains Aloe Vera Extract and Hyaluronic Acide to help soothe skin and keep it hydrated. However, it is a bit too light for my face as I just went tanning :(

The pressed powder is very fine and blots oiliness quite well.

I am in love with the concealer! As you can see it comes in a tiny little case with not one but TWO shades!! This is great as I like to put concealer on the sides of my nose and I could use the darker shade for that. For people with dark eye rings you can use the lighter shade under eyes too!!

And best part? It comes with a little brush too! How considerate and fuss-free! :D

Also very opaque and covers blemishes well! It would be perfect to slip into a wallet to bring around for emergencies. Like if you meet some handsome guy at some party and you have a zit or something. TADAH! NOT TO WORRY I HAVE CONCEALER! LOL

And with my new Bébé Poshé brush...

Applied the pinker blush on the apples of my cheeks and a weeny bit on my nose for that sunkissed look.

The peach shade is for shading!

For my eyes I applied a gold shimmer all over the lids, then brown for contouring. The eyeshadow is very pigmented and opaque, which is awesome.

For my eyeliner I chose metallic copper. I'm a fan of brown eyeliner because it gives a softer look and goes with the bronze tones well! I usually don't like eyeliner pencils but this one is really good and applies very very smoothly!

Lashes in Tokyo Doll

Bébé Poshé gave me a few lashes to choose from but Tokyo doll is my absolute favourite!!

Not only are the lashes made of a soft, natural (read: not plasticky) material, the lash bone is extremely soft and therefore comfortable to wear.

AND guess what? The lashes are a mix of brown and black!

After being to Japan recently I realised that brown lashes are now all the rage but it's super hard to find.

The lashes are stored with 2 stickers on the ends of each lash which explains why the lash bone juts out so much. Snip snip and they are ready to be used.

Here's a pic of my eye makeup! On the bottom lashes I picked length over volume and used the lengthening mascara. I had really low expectations for the mascara because all mascaras claim to lengthen anyway but this one is really good!

Little fibres inside the mascara caused my lashes to look super long. :)

For lips I used Bébé Poshé's lipstick in Milk Toffee. I love the colour! Smells like eucalyptus too! It contains Lavender Essense and Vitamin E. In the middle of the lips I put on their gloss in Hickey, for that extra pouty look.

I also wanna mention their lip balms... OMG THE SMELLS ARE HEAVENLY. I am so in love with the rose and honey ones!

Otaru, Hokkaido - Part 1

Woohoo! Here's part 2 of my Hongkong + Otaru trip, sponsored by Park Hotel!!

So anyway, from where I left off...

Cheesie and I before we leave for Japan. We had to transit at Haneda, Tokyo, before we could catch a domestic flight to New Chitose airport in Hokkaido.

Once we touched down at Haneda, it is like suddenly everything is so different.

I mean look at this alien toilet. It looks like a surgery room. I couldn't resist. I checked for handicapped people around first and went ahead to use it. I felt like I was peeing in some futuristic toilet.

Apparently you should keep a very, very stern watch on your child when putting them on the baby chair.

Cheesie was whining a little about the long transit time but I think she changed her mind when she saw this:

OK. The haneda airport is FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Check it out! First we went up the observation deck:

OMG it was breath-taking. GORGEOUS view of the planes taxiing. The weather was at a perfect 24 degree Celsius, and it was so big and spaced out. Such a liberating feeling!

Cheesie and I even considered packing our food out there to eat alfresco.

On the 4th floor were shops built to look like olden Japanese towns. So cute!

We get lunch at a ramen shop, where for the first time I buy food with a vending machine.

Here's my ramen. It is extremely meh. I don't like ramen with miso or soy sauce soup! I like the white creamy sort.

Once I entered Pop Town I admit I went a little hysterical. It was filled with super cute shops!! Behold:

This seal puff thingy is like the Haneda airport mascot or something. I was about to splurge on some stuffed toys when Cheesie said "There is a hello kitty shop there. If you buy here you will regret not looking there first." Wise words.

Another toy shop with interesting gadgets and a freaking race track. I bought a bunny stuffed toy there at freaking $60. :( But it's so cute I can't possibly resist it! ♡

Anyway I was just deciding on which kitty to buy when Cheesie was speaking to the shop's assistant there who was actually Singaporean.

The shop assistant asked, "What time should you guys be on your next flight?" when a startled Cheesie realises that her watch was set to Hongkong time which is one hour behind Japan's. -_-

Which meant... We are super duper late!!!!

And the worst part? We were still dawdling in the international airport when we had to be at the domestic airport!!

But how bad can it be, right? Shouldn't take that long. WRONG. Had to take a stupid bus to get there!!

While waiting for the bus I still had the mood to camwhore with my new bunny (named Cottontail), because Cheesie was left in charge of the time and I was happily oblivious to how late we were.

I can't believe during the HK-Haneda flight I was still complaining to Cheesie about how I hate latecomers on flights and that the doors should all close on time. Absolutely no grace period for fuckers who make the entire plane wait. Really karma man.

Anyway, so I thought after getting the to the domestic airport it should be a piece of cake because typically domestic airports are smaller but it was a freaking ginormous maze.

Cheesie was antsy like mad and kept sprinting - YES SPRINTING - in front of me. I had no choice but to run too. :( I was made painfully aware by my body that I am not suited for exercise.

And we got lost too coz the signs were so confusing and poor Cheesie had to speed-read all the Japanese words to see where to go.

So yes here's a photo of us finally on the plane, all sweaty and gross and unhappy. We did make it in good time though.

Check out these earphones that were given to us!! Cool isn't it? It is just a hollow rubber tube with no wires, but it amplifies the music very well! Amazing.

After this we had to find a train to get to Otaru!!

Just a heads up for anyone who intends to take this holiday up. It is really quite difficult for anyone who can't read/speak Japanese to find out how to get there because the signs are all written in squiggly Japanese (not even English Japanese). The locals don't commonly speak English either, so do your research!

Train conductor is super kindly and helped us with other luggage. He actually came looking for us to make sure we got off at the right station!! Japanese people are really crazy nice!

Right beside the train was the sea. It was so freaking gorgeous.

And we reached our stop! Grand Park Hotel Otaru, is just a 5 min walk from the station.

Had our luggage carried up, and it's time for dinner. We were supposed to have a hotel buffet but it was a little too late and the buffet line was closing.

So the chef specially made a meal for us.

Our appetizer. So good. I know it looks very simple but omg... That brie was just so awesome! Cheesie said it is because hokkaido milk/cheese is famous. And that pancake is filled with hokkaido corn kernels. FREAKING YUMS! Never had pancakes with corn before, didn't know it could be so nice!

Even that little strawberry which looks so unremarkable was so sweet and delicious! It's just that the Japanese have such high standards for their food quality.

Btw I'm gonna rave a lot about this meal because it is seriously one of the best meals of my life.

Cheesie ordered apple juice. I was uninterested because I don't usually like apple juice. She said "Are you sure? It is very nice." and so I tried hers and she was right it is the yummiest apple juice I've ever had -_-. And of course, made from hokkaido apples.

And look at that dull bread on the side. Cheesie started eating the bread and I was like "What a waste of stomach space. Bread. Pah!"

She said try the butter, it is famous worldwide. So I reluctantly did:

OMG BEST BUTTER EVER. It is softer than the usual butter and it is fluffy! Melts in your mouth etc etc. I finished the bread. -_-

Corn soup up next. Need I say this? Freaking delicious. Made for hokkaido corn + the amazing hokkaido cow's cream, obviously delicious right??

Our seafood entree with some giant prawn, scallop, and fish, with a potato crisp on top.

It is so good wtf. Ok since my standard and expectations were already made so high from my appetizers I'd say the prawn is as good as a typical Singapore restaurant's but the scallop is super sweet and the fish is beyond delicious. The skin is so crispy! I have no idea what fish it is! To be fair the veggie thingy is not that nice.

At this point Cheesie and I were filled to the brim. I was like DONE. Happy and full! But this came along:

BEST. BEEF. EVER.

The tenderness is done just right. The exterior of the beef is actually CRISPY, while the inside remains a bit rare. The marbling is so exquisite and it is so fresh, it just bursts with juice in your mouth. Sprinkled with bits of sea salt for perfection. I think this ranks among the top 3 best steaks I've ever had!

I asked Cheesie to ask the chef what beef this is because seriously such good beef had to be like kobe beef, right? Imagine our surprise when the answer was "roast beef". Just normal beef from a normal Hokkaido cow. They couldn't understand why we were asking what beef it is.

It is easy to neglect the stuff at the side when the steak is so wonderful but seriously, those mushrooms are heavenly too! And I even finished the carrot when I usually hate carrots!

After our steak Cheesie and I were groaning because we knew a dessert had to be coming up and there was no way I can stuff it in!

I told her it's probably gonna be some typical chocolate lava cake thing and I'm not gonna eat it at all. She said "don't speak too soon" and she was right...

OK I know I took a bad picture of the dessert but this, ladies and gentlemen, is the BEST dessert I've ever had in my life!! MY WHOLE LIFE!

On the top is a milk sorbet, then a layer of hokkaido strawberry sauce, with milk pudding at the bottom.

It sounds so average but I'm telling you that pudding is not normal!! Usually pudding is a tad firm but this is like the consistency of... soft boiled eggs? Semi solid till you put a spoonful in your mouth and it just melts into liquid. The sweetness is exactly right too. Mixed with the strawberry bits and ice-cream it is just an orgasmic package!

I told Cheesie I felt like I was eating an angel's brains. LOL

Anyway, while eating that pudding I was so overwhelmed with emotions I started to tear. T_T That dessert was just too much. I mean seriously I am just humble me what did I do to deserve such freaking awesome food and awesome service and awesome holiday wtf. And it was just wave after wave of such good food!! I can't even believe it!

And it's so nice to relax and have people pamper us after all our stress of missing our flight and I just felt so contented and happy... :')

Seriously though, the only other time I was so touched by food I actually teared was at my own wedding. (What? Forlino served some kickass cod!)

Sweeter mornings at KFC

KFC has recently come up with a new breakfast menu creation - the a.m. Blueberry Pancakes! We (meaning Mike and I) were invited to give it a try so we were really quite excited!

After all free food is always good :P And not to mention I love pancakes!

A little section in KFC Suntec City was partitioned off for us. It said private event. I felt like a kid having a birthday party there!

Cutlery and some... are these called condiments? were already on the table. Spot the butter, maple syrup, salt and pepper!

But first... A drink.

Felt like something light so I ordered a Iced tea. Brad on the other hand got milo peng!! Just looking at it makes me thirsty.

The first one is the a.m. Blueberry Pancakes
with Hash Brown!

Winning combination of fluffy pancakes, velvety soft scrambled eggs, and a hash brown.

Of course, imho no pancakes are complete without a heavy dosage of melty butter!! The pancakes tastes awesome with just butter but maple syrup makes it even better.

Actually I just drizzled the syrup to snap a picture. I love maple syrup so much I actually just dip slices of pancake into the syrup and noms it.

The pancakes are prepared just right and the blueberries make for an extra bonus taste!

It's a hearty breakfast with the signature Original Recipe chicken fillet which everyone loves, scrambled eggs, a.m. Honey Biscuit and hash brown.

OMG I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THE HONEY BISCUIT.

It's this warm, soft little bun of love. Inside completely fluffy and melts in your mouth while the outside is a little crispy and DRIZZLED with HONEY!!!

Seriously best biscuit I've ever had!! LOVE it. I had a second helping of it lol.

Tortilla wrap

The inside is filled with Original Recipe chicken fillet, scrambled eggs, chopped tomatoes, cheddar cheese and mayonnaise. Comes piping hot and toasted. Totally delicious! If you are lazy to eat with a plate and cutlery, this comes neatly wrapped up for you.

Definitely comfort food!! Chucks of Original Recipe chicken fillet in the porridge. Add pepper if you like the peppery taste!

I love gooey sticky non-watery porridge. So smooth in your mouth.

Trust

Everytime that I'm with my friends without Mike being there, if I call him I often ask suspiciously where he is, what he is doing, and whether he is cheating on me.

And without fail anyone who overhears my conversation will be like "OMG how can you not trust your own husband?"

LOL. I don't. Why should I? Name me ONE upside to blindly trusting ANYBODY. And my attitude has nothing to do with Mike. I'd explain.

Just look at all those who have suffered from being cheated upon. What do they say?

They say things like...

"I can't believe he would do this to me."

"I can't believe he has been sleeping with her for 4 freaking months and I didn't even know! How was I so blind and stupid?"

"All those times he said he was on a company dinner there was no dinner! I believed him for 18 freaking times and he went prostituting ALL THOSE TIMES!"

and most commonly of all...

"I can't believe I trusted him."

And this doesn't just apply to cheating. What about all those girls with sex tapes leaked out by their ex boyfriends? You think they are stupid and they trusted the wrong dudes? That your partner will NEVER do that to you? That you are the clever one? Wake up. I've seen the MOST unlikely men cheat.

Cecilia Cheung trusted Edison Chen to never show the close-up shots of her long-haired vagina to anyone. And there is it, on the net, forever. Sure he didn't mean to distribute it - but if she never trusted that he could safekeep it forever, this would never have happened to her.

So back to me and my attitude towards trust. It seems silly to me that people put so much heart into that little word. They say "He would never hurt me. I just know. I trust him. "

And I think... So what if you don't? Is it a bad thing, really? Is that supposed to be an insult on his character? Is he supposed to be ANGRY?

Nothing to be angry about what. Everyone needs to safeguard their self-interests.

You say you trust someone... To what extent do you do that? Do you give him your bank password? Would you let him do a video tour of your genitalia? Would you place him and Megan Fox on a deserted island with a condom? Probably not. Nobody trusts ANYBODY that much, unless they are completely naive.

As for me, I trust that Mike will never choose a banana over an orange. Because he hates bananas and these things don't change. I'm willing to put a $1,000 bet on it. But probably not my whole fortune.

I trust (not 100% but maybe 95%) that Mike will not, for example, see a girl at some event and go ask for her phone number. Because I know his character is shy and he is afraid someone might see him do this and report to me. But if he is drunk... Who knows?

Trust is such a funny thing. People always say it needs to be earned, needs to be built.

After some time of interacting with something, certain things can be depended on.

Like I trust that my blackberry will push my emails on time because it has never once failed to do it in 2 years. I trust that my McChicken will taste the same as it has always tasted.

Over the course of 5 years, never once has Mike flirted back with girls who show interest in him, whether online or in real life. Yet I don't trust that he would never cheat on me. Why?

1) People change. Today he is madly in love with you. Tomorrow he is bored. The next day he is bored AND drunk. Day after that he is bored, drunk, horny and had a fight with you. Who knows? The only thing you can depend on is... People change with time. Even if their personalities remain identical, their feelings towards you might change.

2) Circumstances change. Sure, in these 5 years Mike has never met a girl he liked so much he is willing to give up everything with me. Tomorrow... Who knows? If he meets and gets to know 1,000,000 girls, there has got to one he finds is better than me, no matter how much he loves me. Right?

3) Consequences are bigger. And this is the best reason not to trust that your partner will not stray. CONSEQUENCES. It is my fucking heart at stake here! And my marriage! It is easy to trust when the consequences are small. I pay $2 to my usual chicken rice stall because I trust it will be yummy as always. Not yummy no big deal, I'd buy from another stall - net loss $2 and some time.

But if I believe Mike will never stray, when he does, I'm gonna be fucked.

You are shaking your head, thinking, "You dumb blonde, even if you don't trust, either way you are fucked. If it happens it happens!"

You are wrong. Sure, I'd still be heartbroken. But wait...

Prevention is better than cure

I know I've mentioned this many times.

When you remain vigilant about your partners actions, you are working hard to PREVENT him from committing a mistake. He knows you are checking his phone - there goes flirty smses. He knows you have all his passwords - can't woo girls online.

If you know where he is every minute, he can't go to a hotel without arousing your suspicion. Sure he can work his way around all these but it is hard work. That's another deterrent. If he is willing to do all that to cheat, so be it. But I sure won't make it easy for him.

He wants to go to a dirty KTV bar with his gross colleague. He swears he won't do anything with the girls there. Put your foot down and don't allow! You want to trust he won't get a hooker or prevent him from meeting one? Which has worse consequences? Explain to him why it makes you uncomfortable, then placate him with a blowjob.

And if you find out some chick is mildly interested, you confront her, shame her, threaten her. You puff up your feathers and make sure she knows you will not go in peace. Worse come to worst you be nice to her so she gets so guilty she stops her nonsense.

When you are so suspicious, won't it piss him off?

If he has nothing to hide, he would not get angry. Obviously I don't do my routine checking in an awful way. I just log in to his fb, take up his phone to read when he is sleeping. He doesn't even know. If your man gets annoyed, it is the first sign that he IS possibly cheating on you. Maybe not full out cheating, but flirting, yes. Or that he wants to be able to. He is probably hiding something. Am I paranoid? Maybe. But from personal dating experience, those demanding privacy and space are the exact ones who are cheating.

Mike has never once got angry with me when I checked his phone or facebook. "Go ahead," he says. "You are just wasting your time." And he is right, I was. And he reads my shit too, in case you think this only goes one way.

Cheating is just like cancer - you want to win it, you've got to find out early. Half the battle is won when you kill the sapling before it turns into a full grown weed, throttling your relationship.

If he is just at the "getting to know" stage with some girl - you find out, you have a talk with him to resolve things. Make sure he won't see her again. You want to wait till he is in love? Too late.

If he is already sleeping with someone else, when you find out you can plan your next step. If you are married, you can hire a PI - submit evidence to court and get half his fortune. Cease sleeping with him in case you get some disease. Cut off his penis. Or forgive him, depending on the severity of his crime.

Why, do you want to wait till he had an affair for months and impregnated the slut before you say "OMGWTFBBQ KILL ME NOW MY KID HAS A STEP SIBLING AND I HAVE AIDS"?

Some of you might be saying... Why work so hard to prevent that seems unavoidable? If he cheats, he won't be worth it anyway.

Rubbish. ALL men would cheat if there are no consequences. I sincerely believe that. Some don't because they don't wanna hurt us. Some because they are scared of losing us. Some because of kids, social ramifications, anything.

Most commonly of all, men cheat because they made a mistake, thinking with their penis, enjoying the attention - THINKING THEY WON'T BE CAUGHT.

And when you blindly trust, that's when they are most certain they will never get caught.

Every few days I remind Mike how his life will be like if he is dumb enough to cheat. And I WILL find out. Money be gone/he will never find someone as good as me again/penis cut etc. Just in case he forgets.

I'm sure a lot of you don't agree with my school of thought, saying, "You must be all sad, paranoid and worrisome all the time. That's not how love is supposed to be like. I pity Mike."

LOL duncha worry. Mike and I are happy and in love.

Obviously I *do* trust him because he is a good man with principles. But just not enough to 1) fully believe he will NEVER cheat and 2) not do my best to try to prevent it from happening.

If the day comes and he strays, I'd say "Oh well at least I tried my best. And at least I was not duped for ages."
